old news	january 2002 news renaissance re-opens 26 jan 2002 after the traditional new year break, renaissance returns for its final five weeks at media. anthony pappa warms us up nicely, then sister bliss does her usual trick of showing more than a few 'big name' male djs how it should be done - a great set. happy birthday alison 19 jan 2002 alison's 30th birthday! stef and weeble turn up on friday. saturday afternoon the swansea team show up. paul, lindsey and carrie complete with balloons and booze. rachel pops in to say hi! sue shows up then we are all off for some food at bar humbug. then the party gets going with about 70 people showing up to help alison and emma celebrate. lindsey and simon play some fine choons. then is all back to mine for some more fun. sunday saw the traditional lunch down at the vic. a splendid weekend! dick whittington 16 jan 2002 a nice bit of food at bar humbug starts us off on our annual trip to see the panto at the nottingham playhouse. much 'he's behind you' and 'oh no he isn't' and booing and hissing make for the usual quality production. lord of the rings 2 jan 2002 a trip in to nottingham to try and spend christmas vouchers. food at wagamama. then a first visit to the new warner brothers cinema at the corner house. huge screen and good sound. lord of the rings is excellent - bring on the next part! happy new year 1 jan 2002 well its about that time of year.
