old news	december 2001 news new years eve 31 dec 2001 after much changing of minds, we decided to go to renaissance. catching the train into town proved better than the buses (not running after 8pm) and cheaper than a taxi (it was free!). x-press 2, with six decks, 3 mixers and a few extra samplers were fantastic! catching the train back home at 6am was very cold, but much much cheaper than a taxi - it cost us £2.40! the gathering 29 - 30 dec 2001 the occassionally annual gathering of ex-rhyddings-park-roadians, has-been-hacks, associates, hangers-on and liggers took place just outside newport. duncan and karen kindly opened up their small 'two-up, two-down' dwelling for much food, fun, cheese and merriment. great to see everyone again. our place next year? see the pictures! ian and caz 27 dec 2001 ian and caz trek down through the silly traffic to come and say hello. simons dad and liz drop in for some food down the local. merry christmas 25 dec 2001 simons mum and alisons dad join us for the festivities. food, wine, more food and more wine. renaissance christmas party 22 dec 2001 its freezing cold in town so we warm ourselves up with several vodkas. renaissance was a little quieter than usual, however we had a great time. silicon soul rocked. thanks for sorting us out brett! re:media christmas party 21 dec 2001 aitches in bakewell is the usual venue. traditional christmas fare washed down with obscene amounts of pop. a trip into sheffield for some evening bumblings. ended up in bed (the club!). k-klass djs playing the finest old skool choons! bizarre inc, bassheads, gat decor! what a night. ben and tash 15 - 17 dec 2001 a sprint down the m1 on saturday afternoon. down to sarf london. pints and pizza, then a crazy party with matt, leon and dave in a strange bar in brixton. simon actually gets to play some records and people dance! fun! car booting in the cold and chillin with video and wine makes for a great sunday. happy birthday simon 15 dec 2001 another year, another load of excellent presents! picture gallery pt i 13 dec 2001 now that time is not so much of a squeeze (see story 'bissue'), i have at last put the first lot of pictures up on this new site. martha and mark 8 dec 2001 at last the time had arrived. we made the trip down to the essex sunshine coast for our eighth and final wedding of the year! a little chilly, however once the mulled wine had done its work an excellent evening was had. bangers and mash for the wedding breakfast followed by apple pie and custard... an inspired menu! the local 2 dec 2001 our local pub is so great that it only takes a normal visit to warrant a mention. david, alisons dad, dropped in so it would have been very rude not to take the opportunity to go. 3 sunday roast and some fine wine and ale. marvellous.
