to the chill

half day of work, a quick girlie pamper, then showers and pack the car and it's off to eastnor. rain holds off on the journey down and we manage to put the tent up in between the showers. linds, ness and lee arrived early to bag a good spot for the family... big chill 2008 here we come!

ps: there's no way that nerys looks 7 months pregnant!

outdoor culture

...had a bit of culture last night, with outdoor theatre at nottingham castle. elke and i sat in the warm evening, watching shakespeare's 'much ado about nothing'. absolutely brilliant - and the rose wasn't bad either!

weekend at helsbury

we have along weekend down in cornwall for what has been dubbed the inaugural helsbury beer festival. dave, leza and lottie make us all very welcome at helsbury and we spend a chilled weekend chatting, eating, walking and drinking. we even manage to make it to the beach for some rays on the final day.

quiz night at the vic

as part of the annual vicfest, we try our hand again at the quiz night down at the vic. we are joined by lou and ian as normal... and we manage to avoid embaressment with a comfortable 'mid-table' finish!

Inspiration

Have just been inspired by Nicki to ensure we keep up with our blogging.... been writing about our exciting lives for nearly 10 years now, which is really quite mad. Quite sure that most people aren't that excited or interested about two 30-somethings in Beeston, Nottingham - but hey, it keeps us occupied. Here's to the next 10 years!

Beeston Carnival

Went to beeston carnival this afternoon with skip & stacey. thankfully the sun shone and we missed the rain. missed the parade but managed to see some owls... made a move when the dancing display ended.

the day finished off very nicely with beers, pizza and a dvd. nice

duran duran

appearing in nottingham on their red carpet tour, we go and see duran duran at the ice arena. its the first time we've been in the corporate box - a good view! duran duran have still got it, playing a good selection of classics along with some cracking stuff from the new album.
