how exciting was the tennis tonight? andy murray manages to comeback from the brink. shame either one had to loose. can't see him beating nadal though.

ooh! and we managed to get some tickets to the 2020 world cricket tournament next year. get in!

Corporate Wife

Played at being 'corporate wife' last night. Entertained Simon's work colleague - Steve - and his wife Zoe last night. Lots of wine, lots and lots of food - I think I'm going to go pop even now (mid-afternoon) and after a walk round Attenborough Nature Reserve.

trip to hockerton

as part of my OU course I get to spend half a day at the hockerton housing project. a fantastic place showing how sustainable living really can be done.

Doing things on school nights

... It always takes an effort, but then it's always worth it, to do something on a school night. Played at being hostest with the mostest tonight and cooked lush food (thanks Jamie!) tonight.

my birthday weekend

I've been well and truly spoilt this weekend. Fantastic hotel, wine on arrival, lovely room, great food, fantastic but wet and windy walk up Snowdon, awesome landscapes. Simple girl, easily pleased.

Snowdon here we come!

We're off to Snowdon today. I'm being taken to a lovely hotel in Snowdonia and we're planning to walk up the mountain tomorrow (weather permitting). I can't wait! How sad am I?

making the most of nottingham

Simon and I managed a night out at the cinema last night. Persuaded him to see 'The Kite Runner'. As ever, not as good as the book, but moving just the same. It's a shame that we, the West, don't seem to be able to find a workable solution in Afghanistan,

work is rubbish

Work is rubbish isn't it? It generally gets in the way of life. Definitely not enjoying NTU at the moment. Good job life outside of work is good!!

new year, new physio

saw a new physio today, who also said that he thought i had the wrong trainers! unfortunately I'm finding it very hard not to do anything active on my ankle...

New year, new car

OMG! we're in a state of shock.... said goodbye to our 10 year-old clio, and hello to a new (pre-loved) golf. As we're so sad, it was quite traumatic but it's nice to have a new shiny car.

New Year's Day 2008

Must be grown ups as we don't feel too bad today. Had a good night celebrating in town, with Lindsey djing at Cafe Mambo and looking at all the sights on Wind Street. Non-eventful journey back means that we're chilling at home this evening, looking forward to 2008....
