human league - dare! tour 2007

hayley and wayne join us for some food and a trip back to the 80s. The Human League, or at least Phil and the girls are touring the Dare! album again.

They sound great and after a full run through of the album continue with lots of their other tracks. Hayley and Alison seemed to enjoy 'human' and remembered all the words to the 'rap'. Being Boiled was great and the evening finished with Together In Electric Dreams.

A fun evening had by all - including the band!

Bonding with work

Bonding session with work last night: curry and a few drinks... not sure that much mixing happened, and I left before all the gossip... oh well

An early Christmas treat

I've spent the whole day being pampered at Ragdale Hall as an early Christmas present from Jean. Had a facial and then tried a few exercise classes, an after-lunch nap and a final hour wandering around the spa pool area. Very nice and relaxing, but a bit weird with everyone wandering around in towelling robes, going off into little cubicles (a mixture of 'Cocoon' and 'The Stepford Wives').... but I could get used to being a lady of leisure....it seems like a tough life.

can't give them away

in the on-going task of trimming my record collection elke pops round for tea and some crate digging. a few 12s head off into the night... but alas we are still left with several crates full.

Fit to pop

Rachel, Chris and Rufus come for Sunday lunch today. Haven't seen them in ages, which means Rachel looks pretty pregnant and ready to pop. At least she didn't go 'pop' here...

Catching up with the Jacksons

Just had a great weekend catching up with the Jacksons down in Berkshire. Really good to see Rich and Kristen and meet Conor. Everyone looking really well. House is lovely and I never knew that Berkshire was so beautiful.

Free fireworks

We love our house and the free fireworks display that happens every year...thanks John Clifford Primary School!
