Exam

I've not done and exam for nearly... 15 years - yikes! Today's was for my OU studies... and I had to calm my nerves with a pint afterwards. Fingers crossed for the results.

ODI Eng vs Aus

Brother-in-law Ian is up to claim his brithday present! A quick lunch at The Vic then we head into town to watch the Cricket at Trent bridge. Its a good job they sell beer coz the cricket was bobbins.

A great evening with Rod and Liz eating at Tom Browns in Gunthorpe. We've been meaning to go there for ages... so glad we finally did!

curry & quiz

An excellent evening at the best pub in the world for their curry and quiz night... all part of vicfest 2009. we're joined by steve and zoe so manage a comfortable 'mid table' finish.

isle of wight 09 : day 8

last day on the isle and we want to try and make a good start. up and over to ryde to try and get an early ferry. no such luck so we loiter in ryde for a bit. eventually we make it back to the mainland a start the long drive north.

home eventually to the usual pile of junk mail and freesheets. an uneventful end to a fantastic summer break...
